The Windows 2003  track for MCSE's is a premier certification intended for IT professionals who work in a typically complex computing environment and possess a high level of real-world experience.


Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
This credential is for professionals who have the skills to successfully implement a Microsoft product as part of a business solution in an organization. This first step in certification demonstrates in-depth knowledge of at least one Microsoft operating system. Additional specialization may be achieved by passing other Microsoft certification exams. The specialized areas verify skills with Microsoft BackOffice products, development tools or desktop applications.

Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician MCDST
The Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certification will get you started in your IT career by ensuring you have the skills to successfully troubleshoot desktop environments running on the Microsoft Windows® operating system. MCDST is an entry level certification that can jump start a candidate’s IT professional career. Typical job titles for MCDST include Help Desk Technician, Customer Support Representative, PC Support Specialist, or Technical Support Representative.

Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
This Microsoft Windows 2000 certification is designed for professionals who implement and manage existing networking and system environments based on the Windows® 2000 and Windows .NET Server platforms. Implementation responsibilities include installation and configuration of the systems. Management responsibilities would include administering and supporting the systems. Typical network services and resources include messaging, database, file and print, proxy server or firewall, Internet and intranet, remote access, and client computer management. Connectivity needs may include connecting branch offices and individual users in remote locations to the corporate network and connecting corporate networks to the Internet.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification is the premier credential for technical professionals who analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows® 2000 platform and Microsoft server software. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems. By earning the premier MCSE credential, individuals are demonstrating that they have the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of the most advanced Microsoft Windows platform and Microsoft server products. By passing your MCSE Certification exam, you are certified to design and implement infrastructure systems using the Microsoft Windows 2000 platform and Microsoft server software, based on your analysis of business needs. You are able to install, configure, and troubleshoot network systems.
