certification to measure foundation-level Linux operating system
proficiency as a reliable indicator of employee success for both
professionals and employers.
Linux Professional Institute (LPI)
is the leading non-profit certification body organized to create a
respected program for Linux professionals and the companies that
hire them. The program offers two tests per level of demonstrated
expertise, and is available worldwide.
The Linux
Professional Certification Path
Linux+:
For candidates with less than six months experience with Linux.
This measures foundation-level Linux operating system proficiency as
a reliable indicator of employee success for both professionals and
employers.
LPI Level
1 (Exams and Courses LPI 101 and LPI 102):For candidates
with approximately two years experience as a Systems Administrator
with Linux knowledge. It includes two exams and targets the
equivalent of a newer Systems Administrator level expertise.
LPI Level
2 (Exams and Courses LPI 201 and 202):For candidates with
approximately five years experience as a Systems Administrator. It
consists of two exams and targets a more seasoned Systems
Administrator level expertise.
